About Me

Hi, I'm Jacey! I am twenty-five years old, a college student, domestic demi-goddess, wife, and I am the proud mommy of a little girl and am now expecting a second child in March 2014. I love video games, horror movies, studying nutrition and where food comes from. I used to play the bass guitar and was in an all girl band. I love reading and television, my top three shows being Doctor Who, Desperate Housewives, and the Walking Dead! I love the weather of early summer but the festivities of the holidays. I enjoy writing of all kinds but specifically fiction. I started my first blog on September 19, 2012.

My daughter has been the driving force in my growing up and trying to be the best person I can be. I attend school at the local University and I am working on a Bachelor of Arts with my major in Child & Family Studies with a specialization in Child Welfare & Human Services. I hope to work with the Department of Human Services, most likely in the Child Protective Services area. I am also very interested in being fully fluent in American Sign Language. ASL and Deaf Culture are a big interest of mine.

I started a whole new way of eating in August of 2012. I have been obese my entire life and finally had enough. I threw out a lot of the things I used to eat and changed a lot of habits. I am not perfect, this is still a work in progress. I still make mistakes, slip up, cheat, and am learning a lot! I am on a long journey towards a healthier way of life. K's lunches are a way that I am trying to keep myself really into this process.  Since starting to eat healthier I have lost a few sizes in my clothes, and hope the progress keeps up! I hope you will follow me on this journey!

This is my darling monkey! As I said, she is 6 years old and starts Kindergarten this year. She loves music, cartoons, movies, playing with dollies, bounce houses, swimming, cheerleading, and has planted her own garden. I am pretty lucky that she isn't much of a picky eater! (There are a few things I can't get her to eat though).

Happy Packing!
